It's been a while

• Over two months have passed since I wrote in last time. I can't believe that the last pictures I uploaded were the ones of snowy Kensington. After February 11th, I had been very busy until 20 April; first of all, I had to submit the dissertation proposal by the end of February. Second, as one of the assignments for the language course, I worked hard on a 3000-words essay until March 14th; for this term, I took a lecture specialized in academic writing, and which was quite useful; I think I have learned a lot. Third, then, my friend came to see me for one week from 15 to 21 March, I showed her around London, and we went to Paris together for just one day on 17th. After she left, I had been writing essays until a few days ago.
• The summer term has just begun on 23 this month, and I attended the first class; for this term, I have only to attend a group meeting once a week on Thursdays. The students of this course were divided into several groups by 5 or 6 people; and we are required to manage a reading project by ourselves for the first 5 weeks; and at the final week, each group has to make a presentation for ten minutes. So first, my group members, including me, had a talk to make our reading list and decide what we are going to study. I like my group and this style, because we can communicate with each other a lot; talking with other members stimulates my interest, and gives me lots of knowledge. After the meeting, I went to see the movie The Young Victoria.
• One day trip to Paris was fantastic! We were blessed with good weather that day, and visited several famous places. I rode on Euro Star for the first time in my life, that was also very impressive. Here's the list of the things we saw in Paris; Eiffel Tower, Musée d'Orsay(inside), Musée d'Louvre(the building only), Seine River(crusing), Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, the Arc de Triomphe.
• For London, I took her to the main attractions such as London Zoo, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, Westminster Abbey, Millennium Bridge, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, The Globe, and British Museum. In the end, we got very tired from visiting so many places. Here are some of the pictures I took during our sightseeing.
